So, what is a Chamber of Commerce? A Chamber of Commerce is a network of business owners and people involved in business who come together to advocate for and protect the interest of their members. These organizations bring small business owners together to strengthen a community, provide training courses and events, networking opportunities, help businesses gain access to capital and funding - and much more.
There are many different types of Chambers of Commerce so we’ve put together this list to help you learn more about them, and find an organization to help you grow and manage your business.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the biggest chamber of commerce in the world and it is the voice for its members in Washington D.C. This organization primarily creates and develops pro-business policies in Washington D.C. but they also undertake research, run events, and provide accreditation for other chambers across the country.

U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce
The U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce (USBC) is an organization that supports African American Chambers of Commerce and business organizations to develop their members’ enterprises. They provide chamber development, training for entrepreneurs, access to capital, and information about contracting.

U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
The U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is the largest Hispanic business organization in the U.S. The USHCC advocates for Hispanic business owners in Washington D.C., particularly in the areas of access to capital, education and workforce development, and immigration. In addition the USHCC provides training, events, and access to grants for member chambers of commerce.

The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development
The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) is a non-profit organization that helps Native American Indians achieve their business goals and helps establish relationships between Indian businesses and private industry. This organization provides training, conferences and trade fairs as well as scholarships and awards.

Asian American Chamber of Commerce
Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) advocates for Asian Pacific US business owners in the Greater Washington D.C. area. THe AACC runs a number of events including an annual summit, workshops, networking programs, and seminars to help members business to grow and thrive.

Irish American Business Chamber & Network (IABCN)
The Irish American Business Chamber & Network (IABCN) advocates for its members and helps build educational relationships between the US and the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It runs networking events for business people, and also promotes initiatives such as Women in Leadership.

Swedish American Chamber of Commerce
The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce promotes and supports trade between the U.S. and Sweden. The SACC has 20 locations across the U.S. and hosts industry-specific events and programs and networking opportunities for member businesses.
