How to change primary location?

Hi, I am a little confused...when I created my square account I was a food caterer who used to join food festivals so I never had a physical location, just using a Square POS to receive payments on the go. Now that I opened my bakery as a DBA of my original company, I added that as a new physical location to my previous Square account, and changed the type of my first "catering/on the go" location to "physical" too, since I have now a headquarter for managing both catering and retail store services. I probably should have changed just the info of my first location to make it "physical" instead of adding another location, since they are basically the same company sharing the same location, same bank account, same products and so on...but unfortunately I did not, and now it gets confusing when it comes to manage my inventory, because some options are available at the primary location only. How can I fix that?Should I deactivate my primary location? Thanks

Hi there, @Luca82 👋 Thanks for reaching out to us with your question here on the Seller Community! Glad to have you here. Hopefully we can share some helpful advice on your location situation.

While locations can be an extremely helpful feature for Sellers, they can also prove to be a confusing distinction for businesses that include a side 'aspect' of their business, such as catering. It's difficult for me to suggest which location your business should deactivate without taking a deeper look into your account (each scenario is unique). As a rule, I would delete the location that has less information and history of use.

"Locations" within Square are designed to help organize and separate data, so it is your prerogative on how best to proceed.

Let me know if you have any questions! I am here to help.
