Card scanner for new I pad pro
Why don’t they make the card scanner for the new I pad pro? I can’t take cards at my business till they do! Unless I pay for a different type of card scanner I don’t want!

Do you mean a stripe reader? They do not make USB-C stripe readers. I do not know for the life of me why they don't, especially since the new Square Stand is for new iPads.
However, you can take chip cards and tap to pay if you go down to Staples and purchase a Chip Reader. They are $49. It's rechargeable so if you're a mobile business, it can go with you. Get a dock for $30 and you can put it on your counter and it's always charging.
Until then, you will have to manually type in cards, which comes at a higher fee rate. However, I would make it my business to get that chip reader. If you are swiping cards with chips, you are liable for any EMV payment disputes.
Now as for gift cards and cards without chips, I believe you can use the official apple USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to accept your stripe reader. Apple doesn't make one, but Anker has a USB to Lighting adapter, and you can get the official Square lighting magstripe reader. I'm not 100% sure it will work. Also, I'm not 100% sure the USB-C to 3.5mm will work either. I purchased a third-party one and it did not accept my reader. However, I haven't gotten a customer without a chip card in over a year. For those, I just punch them in or ask if they can use a card with a chip. In 2022 if you don't have a card with a chip or tap to pay, you can call your bank and ask for one that does.
I hope this helps. If it did, please mark as best answer.
