Can I make modifiers and options count towards the total inventory/stock in different quantities?

Basically, we are selling beer online and only have 1920 cans available, which can be as a four-pack (four cans) or a case (24 cans). I need a way for these to count towards the total inventory. So when someone orders a case, -24 cans are subtracted from the total inventory. When someone orders a case and a four-pack, -28 cans are substracted from the total inventory, etc.

Is this possible? It doesn't seem like a setting, so is there any creatve way to make this happen? I guess I could only make x amounts of four packs available and x amounts of cases available, but that's not ideal because we need to sell by can count. Another way of saying this would be asking the customer "how much of our product do you want? A four pack or a 24 pack?" and we need to be able to track inventory on that.

Thanks

Square

I don't think there's a super easy way to do this, @ftbla. Unless you set aside x amount of each as you suggested and then update your inventory on Square to reflect this. Otherwise, you would need to sell the cans individually and the customer would need to add 24 individual cans to the cart. I can see how this would not be ideal either. 😕
