Just downloaded the app a couple days ago and won't let me send invoices. A screen pops up that says "ERROR UPDATING INVOICE " and it won't send help !!!

Couple of things to check. Make sure you have the latest version of the Square app. (Last update was 9/18) Make sure the email address is correct. Make sure you have an internet connection, If it was lost this will happen.

@RHatch is correct - these are good things to check on to ensure your invoice can be sent.
Since I had heard this from a few sellers on the community today, I wanted to make sure everything was 💯 on our end. I touched base with our engineers who were able to fix this on our end. Everything should be operating normally now. Please go ahead and attempt this again and let me know. 👍
