Issues with syncing size variants to facebook shop

I have a few of my items synced to facebook shop, however I am continuously getting an error that the items do not have a size attribute. All of my items have both color and size options included, there are individual variants for all sizes and colors available, and all variants have stock assigned to them. I am really stuck on why the size is not being pushed through to facebook (or it isn’t recognizing it as a size?) and have tried everything I can think of.
