The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: "Low stock alerts don't show new out-of-stock items any more! Useless now."
Hi, the low stock alert emails we get have changed in the last couple of days. They used to show which items were newly out of stock and then list of ones that were previously out of stock. Now they just show them all in one list and there's no way to tell which are new ones. It's useless to me now since I don't always re-order things right away. Can you please change it back to the way it was?

Hello! Thank you for the feedback. We hear you, and we'll be re-incorporating that feature back in Low Stock Alerts early next week. In the meantime, we've reverted your Low Stock Alerts back to the previous version.

Hello,
This is a major problem for our business and has made the last several days very hard on us during the busiest period of the year. You say you reverted to the old Low Stock Alerts system, but this morning I received another Low Stock Alerts email with the same issue! Please fix this as soon as possible!

Thanks for reaching out, @IAMBooksBoston
The team is aware of the issue that sellers are experiencing, and will be fixing this as soon as possible in the upcoming week. I believe there is a way to manually revert individual accounts when requested, and I am reaching out to an engineer that can assist with your account.
We will let you know when the temporary fix has been actioned for you.
Thank you again for the feedback!

I see you've marked this thread as solved, but it is not solved on our end! This morning we got another Low Stock Alert email with the same problem! (no new low/out of stock items from the previous day's sales). This is incredibly frustrating under the holiday period where it is crucial for us to know what needs to be restocked.

Another thing to add to the issues that I've been having with Square... the low stock emails have changed this week, and not for the better. They used to show the date in the title, now they don't. However, the main issue is that they used to show what went out of stock the day before right at the top, and then there was a section called "Previous" for anything that has been out of stock for longer than a day. Now it's just one big long list, so you have no way of knowing what went out of stock the day before. Talk about making my job MUCH harder! Please fix this ASAP. I'm shocked at the amount of issues I've had with Square within the last 6 months, after very few for the past 7 years!

Hi @RobynR , thanks. Yes, that's the same issue, and it appears they're working on it. One thing I'd like to point out here is that thread was created on Friday. On Saturday, I came here and searched in multiple ways to see if anyone else had started a thread for this issue, and couldn't find anything, so I did it myself. But, it was there from a day before. I even looked in the recent & popular groups, but didn't find anything. This has happened multiple times where I've searched for a thread--and worded the search in different ways--and was unable to find it, but then stumble upon it later. It seems that the search feature in the community forum needs an upgrade.

Same thing happened to us and it is causing the same problems. Can you restore our settings as well. If I just wanted a list of low stock items I could take a report. What was helpful was knowing WHEN they went into low/out-of-stock status.

Same here. Just another issue in a list of many things that have been breaking in the last few months. This is the WORST time to have this happen during the busy holiday season. Please revert mine back if possible, too.

We are set up to received daily Stock Alert emails. They used to break out the items which went below the stock alert threshold by yesterdays date only, followed by all the items that had previously gone below the threshold. Now I only see everything combined. This changes started earlier this week.
In other words, I can no longer see the specific items that went below threshold during the prior days' sales. This was important information. Now I cannot tell if an item went into low stock status yesterday...or 3 months ago. This defeats the purpose of have a "Daily" email alert.
Did the system change or do I need to reset something, adjust a setting, etc.?

Thank you, I hope this is resolved soon. This was one of our busiest weekends of the year and I have no clear path for restock ordering- would we be able to see what items we sold out of for the days this was/is an issue?

Hi @BeneathSeattle - Violet here, following up for @JJ_
I went ahead and merged your post to an existing thread where other Square Sellers have discussed this as well. We merge duplicate conversations together to keep like comments in one place, and to make it easier for others to find the thread in the future.
Please see the reply from one of our Product Managers, @tonysq, which has been marked as the Best Answer to this question.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.

@_Violet you can merge this with the one I created on Saturday too. Seems the search feature in the community needs an upgrade, as I searched many times and in multiple ways to see if a thread already existed and couldn't find one, but here we are.

Hi there, @llij96 - Thanks for reaching out to let me know. I've merged your post here.
The search tool is admittedly not the best and gives me some trouble as well sometimes 😓 If you are looking for a previous post from yourself, I always just go to my profile and look through my recent posts.
