We know your restaurant is looking for the best way to effectively manage your kitchen orders, which is why we have created Square’s first KDS. We’re looking for restaurants to help us test this new product and be part of creating this with your business top-of-mind.
With Square KDS, you’ll be able to view orders from Square for Restaurants, Square Point of Sale, Square Online Store, BentoBox, GoParrot, WooCommerce, Craverm, Chowly, PoppinPay, Ecwid and several others directly on Ipad.
🛑 Stop right there! Before you jump in, let's talk about a few restrictions and limitations.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Square KDS is only supported on iPads using iOS 13 and above
- We do not currently support Open Tickets/Checks for this Beta
- The KDS app will work alongside your current printer setup
- Not currently available on Square Register (we'll reach out when it's ready)
- We're currently recruiting for US based businesses, but will be opening in other locales soon. Mark your Country if you're interested in testing outside of the US.

It says this is available for Canada, but requires restaurant plus, which I believe is not available in Canada, am I missing something?!

Hey @BridgetPH - My apologies! Since Restaurants is in Beta in Canada, I need to enable your account. I went ahead and enabled it.
To subscribe to the free trial, head over to your Dashboard> Click Restaurants on the bottom left> Subscribe to the free trail

Hey,
Looks like I’ve managed to get all the restaurant set up, however, I can’t download Square for restaurant on my ipad as it is the Canadian App Store. Is there a workaround for this? Thanks! We’re so excited to try this!

@BridgetPH Sorry about that! Here is the link to download it:
When you tap the link, it will have you download the TestFlight app. After that, open the TestFlight app and tap Install next to the Square for Restaurants app.

Hi Kelly!
Please advise if this new app will be AODA compliant? Canadian and Provincial Laws are now requiring this...

Otherwise, we too are using Fresh KDS and they are not sure on if they are able to provide a working AODA app and if they cannot - will probably have to pull out of the CDN Market due to non-compliance...

Hi All! Square KDS is now in open Beta, you can join by joining the Beta Community (yes you have to join the beta community to be included > Featured Groups > Square KDS in order to join and try out the system.
While we're at it, we'd love to see your pictures of your set up as well.

just downloaded sure kds but have 140 days of tickets to delete before i see new orders... is there a way to mass delete old orders?

Eeek, that's a lot of tickets. Don't shoot the messenger, but bulk deletion is not a feature with Order Ticket Management. You'll need to delete them individually.
