How to Stop Loyalty Notifications

September I signed up to try Loyalty program but it was basically Doubling the free Item I had setup.  So I cancelled the Loyalty program and was informed I could still use it till October 24th.  As of today Oct 27th 2023 I still have a Screen popping up asking to add a customer to Loyalty and on the Digital receipt for transactions X points count towards loyalty or 0 points were added for loyalty. 

 

Shouldn't this have ended after the free trial on the 24 of October?  I noticed that 0 points were at the bottom of a Wholesale transaction on my digital receipt from yesterday which is why I am asking about this.  Will this ever go away and stop asking me to see if the customer wants to be added to Loyalty?

Hey Keith.  While that is definitely odd, I’m betting that you need to be slightly more specific so that the POS, etc, knows that you are no longer using the loyalty program.  On your online dashboard, go to Loyalty > Settings.  Scroll to the section “Select locations” and deselect your location(s).  I’m betting that will do what you want.  You’ll just have to remember to reenable this when/if Loyalty gets to be usable and practical for you.

Also, you might be able from the Settings screen to scroll to the bottom and click the Discard button.  I just noticed that!

I will be looking at  / for those settings today.  I just know when I signed up for Loyalty in September, I just made changes for those settings like if someone bout 12 candles in my 28oz category they would get one free.  So silly me I was thinking when the Loyalty program ended I would no longer be shown or asked if the customer wanted to join my loyalty program that I no longer offer because it did not work as I thought it would.   I will reply back on what I discover on the POS.

Found the Setting in my Dashboard for Locations and Disabled the One location I have.  Then I got a Red banner warning saying I have no Locations selected for Loyalty or something similar.  So I agree with you that this may work but I did not find the Discard button in Settings that you mentioned, just an FYI.  So tomorrow I will see if I still get the popups to enroll people in loyalty.  Today it did pop up a few times then other times it did not aske me to ask customer to join.

Hopefully that does the trick.  As for the Discard button, that is not what I thought it was.  It is only enable if you make a change to your settings and decide not to save them.  Admittedly, that is the first time I’ve seen that choice given in Square so it confused me.  I think that usually the wording is something other than “Discard.”  So disregard that part of my post earlier.  I was wrong! Ha.
