[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: automatically add a discount on a certain day an appointment is made]
I am trying to figure out if there is a way when a customer schedules an appointment on a certain day that a discount would automatically be applied to the services that they schedule.
For instance, on Wednesday's I offer 10% off. I don't mind going in a manually entering it, but just curious if there is a way that it automatically does it.

@rtfulk thank you trying to provide a workaroud. I tested it out myself in hopes it would work as well.
@waxandglow Although you can apply a discount to a service when charging a client in-person using the Square Point of Sale app, it’s currently not possible for clients to use a discount or coupon code when booking an appointment through your Appointments booking site.
This feature is being tracked as a request for future updates. Please feel free to add your vote here.

@waxandglow We don't use appointments, but we do schedule discounts from time to time. Hopefully this will work for you. Go to your dashboard, then Items, then Discounts, then Create a discount. From there name your discount and put in the percentage off. Then on Automatic Discount turn on rules.
This is where I'm not sure what you would select. We select Categories, I would think you would select customers.
I would think you would select online sales, since it's an appointment.
Then select Set Schedule and choose the day you want the coupon to be active.
Then save it, hopefully this will work with appointments.

I think you are on the right track but it won't add the discount if someone books an appointment for Wednesday on any other day. I will have to see if I can figure out how to do this so if a customer books an appointment for Wednesday on a Thursday the discount will apply.
