I’ve noticed that both on our POS and the Square Online system that items tracked through inventory are allowed to be oversold. Even if the inventory only has 1 item available if someone adds 2 of that item to their cart/ticket at the same time the system allows that to happen and they end up ordering an item we don’t have. Is there any way to stop this from happening?

HI, the inventory is across all locations. If you only have one, but is added on POS AND Online Store, the system sees that as 2 total, not one,

Hi, we only have one location. The inventory is linked between our POS and online (we only update the inventory in one place) so they should have the same number. Yesterday we only had one item in inventory but I was still able to simultaneously add two to the order which meant the customer wasn’t able to get what they wanted.

HI, you have Brick and Mortar, which is one plus Online Store which is one, system recognizes as two.
