Square API for cash on delivery?

The restaurant owner wants to be able to take online web orders, but allow customers to pay by cash once the food is given to them.  It would be a like a pending order object to somehow show up in their list of transactions, but still waiting for the charge by their Square POS.  Is this something supported by Square?

I noticed this reply was sent in May 2019. It's now 2021, is there an update on this feature because I would love to use it!

My guess is that it would cut into the processing fees so much they are going to have to figure out a way to make up for that lost revenue. Just like they dont let customers order online and pay in person.
