sitemap.xml couldn't be fetched

Hello, I just started a site 3 days ago, and I have signed up for the google search console, and put the html tag in the header section. When I went to the site map section, and typed in sitemap.xml, I get feedback saying that they couldn't fetch it, and when I go to https://www.crypticproductions.net/sitemap.xml I get a 404 error, what do I need to do in order to fix this?

Thanks for posting, @Cryptic_Prod. The editor experience you have doesn't currently generate a sitemap. However, this feature is coming very soon! I can't give an exact date, though this is something being worked on actively right now so the release timeframe will be in the very short term. I would publish your site once a day and check afterward, and it'll find it as soon as we release it.

Thanks for the info @Adam, could you please give me an estimate on when this will be up and running, and does not having a sitemap affect my site being indexes on google?
