.html extension is result of 302 redirect?

I would like to confirm something. After a liltle investigation I think I've found that weebly's .html extension for each page is actually the result of a 302 redirect, am I correct?

So if I'm visiting: www.website.com/example, Weebly is adding a 302 redirect making the page www.website.com/example.html

Is this observation correct?

That's correct - all links you make using our linking tools will link to pages with .html, however we do have redirects in place in case someone wanted to link to it without .html.
