No matter what name i have on my product listing image it uploads as something completely different.
Is there a way that I can even use and ALT tag on a product image?
I would love if weebly would just allow the image title to be uploaded as we have it...it is really bad for SEO and ANY change that can be made for SEO improvements is a positive one.
Does anyone know a way I can do this or is it going to be changed in the near future?

It looks like this is something that we're aware of and looking into, although I'm not sure when this change would happen. The way we use images right now they aren't included with <img> tags so I'm not sure that there's an SEO impact one way or the other (as opposed to having actual <img> tags that have no ALT and TITLE tags).

Hi Adam,
Thanks for your reply. Every SEO report i get done flags this as a main issue for my website performance. I guess being so many products they outweigh the other images on the site. We are changing many things to keep improving but this image name was what i was stuck on 😊 i thought maybe there as an app or something (long shot!)
Hopefully in the future.

I totally understand, and we're in the process of reviewing everything for a store which comes up in SEO reports like that so we can address each. Hopefully it won't take too long to get that changed!

Hi Mikah,
In the meantime you can:
- add captions including a keyword when possible to each product image
- make sure the file name for each image is descriptive and includes your keyword (so a file named womens-blue-striped-shirt.jpg is way better than one named product56781.jpg)
Even though SEO reports may still flag your images as not being optimized, these 2 actions will help search engines better understand what each image is about

Hello we have that for all website images but unfortunately whatever you title a product image it is changed on weebly when it is uploaded.

Thanks for clarifying Mikah, I see that it's a feature that's being considered for Product pages, so I guess we should all go vote for it to be implemented!
