Hi all, apologies for what is probably a very basic question. I will be selling some of my products at an annual symposium, which functions much the same as a farmer's market or trade show. I've received this note from the event organizers:
If you would like to use CSU’s Wi-Fi, you must have a validated P2PE solution. Please read the
statement below provided by Colorado State University. If you decide this is the route you would like to go, you must email [event organizer's e-mail] verification of a validated solution, preferably by June 30, 2024.
Statement from Colorado State University (CSU)
Processing credit cards over the CSU's networks, including Wi-Fi, must be transacted through a validated P2PE solution. Validation of these processing solutions can be found here: https://listings.pcisecuritystandards.org/assessors_and_solutions/point_to_point_encryption_solutions?agree=true. We recommend that you contact your credit card vendor service for assistance in verifying your solution is a valid P2PE solution.
I have a 2nd generation square reader, and it's my understanding that Square POS devices are fully PCI compliant. However, I wasn't able to find any instances of "Square," "Block" or "Afterpay" in the above link, and I'm a bit at a loss as to what to send to the event organizers. I could do the transactions using mobile data, but I would much prefer to do it over public wifi if possible to avoid unnecessary roaming charges (I have a Canadian cell number).
Any help is appreciated!

No need to apologize at all @TaranP!
We appreciate you bringing the question to the community, hopefully it can also help other Sellers looking for similar information in the future.
Square has not gone through the optional P2PE validation process. We offer an End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) solution which provides the same benefits as a P2PE solution, and more.
You can learn more about E2EE, here.
If the campus is happy with the end-to-end encryption solution that we provide and wish to see the verification, please just let me know, and I can arrange to share the documentation with you.
Hopefully we'll see you again here on the community regardless - welcome aboard!
