When posting store link, link shows correct name, pop up tab shows the old business name?!

We changed our store name, updated it everywhere in our profile, created a new online store, and the link is correct but the pop up tab when posting it shows the incorrect old name.

@mwhit4723 That sounds super frustrating! It sounds like you need to have Facebook scrape the information on their side.

Follow this link here to get started, then enter the URL you are sharing. Then, use the scrape button to have Facebook update whatever it has cached.

Hi @ValleyOliveOil,

It looks like the page title is being read when you are posting this link. You can also note that this page title is showing on the browser tabs, see below.

In Square Online Store/Weebly editor there is a settings gear where you can view the page settings. Within the 'page settings' properties are, there an SEO tab where you can change the text for the search results from preview and a social tab where you can upload images that come up when you post the link on social and preview the look of the page. Here is more info on the site settings.

I have been all over every setting inside the store editor and dashboard and our square pos dashboard.   Everything I can find has been changed to the correct name but it still won't show correctly.  I also can't find an SEO tab anywhere.

Hi @ValleyOliveOil,

In your Online Store Dashboard, there is a section titled 'Website', which has all of your settings (including SEO). Here is also the Weebly  (Online Store) Dashboard guide for reference.

The Online Store Dashboard can also be accessed from your Square Dashboard by scrolling down the left-hand side and clicking on 'Online Store'.

Thank you for trying to help me.  So, I figured out where your talking about.   It seems the new weebly site is where the old store is, under it is how i get to the new store i built but its the old type platform evidently.   So I am guessing i can't import my valley olive oil store into the new weebly platform, I have to completely rebuild it in the new platform?  also, I've tried changing the name, all it does is add the new with the old in the seo.  So frustrating.

I am having the same issue. I updated my SEO, but if I type my web page into a Facebook post, then wrong picture and title show up. I have been trying to fix this for weeks! I have updated the SEO and published the site one hundred times over and it stil won't update.

I'm having the same issue - I'm seeing the website name on the browser tab preview as Home-2 and it displays the same way on FB link preview. It only shows like that for the home page itself, pages of individual products show up just fine. Page name all over the SEO page is set to "Luxury Herbal Soaks", so I have no idea where is it coming from.

Update: I ended up solving it through support. Don't know if they have done anything else, but know that they have republished the website, so you may try doing that yourself if you run into the same issue as I did.
