Tax not being added for delivery on ckeckout - why not?

Hi,

 

We are getting setup and when testing checkout, tax is applied for the pickup option, but not for delivery? I am checking the tax settings and can't find where that would even be controlled. See screenshot below. Our setup is super simple, and tax is set to auto-calculate, and our location and tax % is properly setup.

Why is tax not being added when checking out and choosing delivery, but it is for pickup?

HI, I believe tax for pickup is being added because the item is not "moving", it is at your location and customer comes to pick it up.  For delivery, the auto-calculate applies the tax based on where its being delivered.

@Goldneye has the right idea here, @sparkle_salon

 

With any delivery order or shipped order, your customer will need to input their address in order for the tax to be calculated and appear in the Taxes line on the right-hand side. Once the address is entered, and you've clicked Next, you will see a tax amount appear - so long as you have set up your taxes, and applied them to items needing to be taxed.
