Static ip can’t be found to connect my therminal

I have a stock printer, a a few different models I can never pull up the static IP based on how they say to do it according to the star instructions. I’m trying to connect my hand held terminal to a printer.

Are you sure of the Printers IP Address?

I usually have to go into my Router and then see attached Devices to get the IP address.  Now my router also can Set Static IP addresses for devices so the device always gets the same address.  For my Start Printer I can also Print out a configuration or settings page which displays the IP address.  I have had to do this after power outages, because the Receipt printer when reconnected gets a different address but after 5 minutes or a power reset get the correct Static address.   

I am not sure what Router your using to set a Static address but I use netgear routers and after signing in I can view Attached devices, and under Advanced settings I can configure what I want Static addresses to be for certain devices that connect to my Routers Wired or Wireless network.   On my Square Stand I can print out a Test receipt which Prints out the current Address if the Printer is attached and configured correctly.
