question on signing out

I use Square on my phone and my laptop and never are they signed in at the same time. 

When I sign out from laptop, i get this dialog box that wants to know if from what am i signing out.. .this or the other 28 sessions (apparently this number increases over time.)

My question is to what other sessions is this referring to?  What are the implications if I choose all sessions?

There is no problem...I am just very curious about what this is all about.

Hey there @donnalcsw.  That number of “other sessions” includes not only our online dashboard, but also every POS app, KDS, and other devices signed into our Square accounts.  

One reason you might want to choose to sign out of all devices is if you had some sort of security scare/breach.  Then, not only would you want to change your Square password, but you’d want to force all devices to have to sign in again.  It’s a great way to close any security holes, especially if used in conjunction with TFA, or passkeys, and such.

Thanks Chip.I don't completely understand " but also every POS app, KDS" stands for as it is just me who uses this account from either my laptop or phone.  but, that matters not. I guess I will just log out of everything.
