Square Stand Dip and Tap Show 'Failed'

Square Stand, Gen 2, all of a sudden it does not have the option to take credit card via the stand.  When I go to settings - hardware - stand, dip and tap are at the top and both say 'failed'.  I've tried unplugging the stand, restarting the stand, uninstalling and re-installing square to no avail.  I have three other square stands and none are experiencing this problem.  

 

Also, stand is less than a year old.  Could it have gone bad?  Or is there a setting or something else I can try?

When you have the iPad in the stand and the POS open in the upper right hand is there a check mark beside the word stand? Is the stand charging your iPad? I ran into this on one of our stands, nothing would connect. Come to find out the lighting plug on the stand, the backside of it had some residue, lint or something on it. I cleaned it and haven’t had a problem with it yet.

Randy, thanks for the response. 

 

Yes, there is a check mark indicating the stand is connected and it is charging the iPad.  This is such a mystery.

@JavaJoz Then it may be an issue with the stand, when we first bought our 2nd gen stands one of them wouldn't charge our ipad. I contacted support and they exchanged it with a new one.
