Currently, we're unable to edit the legal name you used to activate your Square account. To update it, you’ll need to create a new Square account with your updated legal name. The good news is that you can still use the same EIN and bank account when creating the new account.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

• The legal name on your account isn’t visible to customers, but it does play a role in verifying your identity.
• You won’t be able to use the same email address as your current account for the new setup.

For a smoother experience, we suggest giving Support a call once your new account is ready, and they can help finalize the process.

That's not true about customers cannot see your legal name. If I use Square Bookings, when it sends someone the appointment confirmation it shows my full legal name. Which is stupid because I didn't even provide that name to you, you automatically included my full middle name when you had me scan my driver's license during registration.
