Inventory CSV column Header to turn off Stock Tracking

So a few months ago I changed my Stock data so when I add a new Item I could use Options which created variations for the new Item.  This worked to quickly create the new Items but ruined how I applied discounts since one of the options (Variations) use to be a Category.  So now I used a sample New item to create templates for ALL my Variations of my candle sizes.  The only thing is now since I did not have the quantities as I was making these they all defaulted to 0 in stock.  Which is fine for now, so I wanted to figure out how to Tell Square with a catalog Import Update that those items are not to be Tracked for inventory so I do not get the pop up, do you want to add that at checkout because quantity is 0.  Which it can not be since the customer has it in their hand and it is for in person selling.  My online store has the correct amounts in inventory so I can update this later once I get this sorted out.   I am still slowly changing these over.  I am like at about 25 of 165 candle scents and have over 225 Incent sticks I need to fix.

All I am trying to do is when I do a Catalog Import Update is to tell Square I do not want to track Stock for these New items.  I see where I can put in the current count and adjustments and have downloaded sample with Stock Counting enabled and Disabled but there appears to be no difference in the csv file.

I could be missing the column when I look through all the columns or Square may have it named something I may think is for something else.   Any help would be appreciated.

@Candlestore  Not sure if I understand the question, but non-inventory items you'd want the Quantity to be Blank. Items you track inventory, you'd put 0 or a value.

@TCSlaguna

So here is the issue. From me trying to Fix my inventory from trying work arounds I have the same Item in different places in my catalog.  So for now I wanted to turn OFF Tracking Quickly of my items that I make.  In a csv file if I leave the Quantity as 0, it shows in Square as out of Stock.  In Square Dashboard for Items I can click Track or Not to Track an item but there is no way to do that in a csv file from Square.

I did find somewhere that when Creating a New item Tracking is disabled automatically so this has helped.

I just go crazy at times trying to figure out how to do something I think should be easy, and it does not seem to be or is hidden in Square where I do not think it needs to be.   With all these things here there and different ways to edit its easy to understand now, that when Square does an Update other things get effected.

OK. Yeah, I think my answer should be right. A value in the Quantity box means Track, a blank in the Quantity field means Do Not Track.

I think if you Export your item library you will see this to be true.

If not, I have messed up Inventory Counting Day two years in a row 😂

Hi, I tried exporting and deleting anything in the current stock column like suggested above and it didn't work.  Has anyone tried this?

Does Square have a solution yet to turn off stock tracking in bulk?

Thank you!
