Contactless + Chip Reader Reader Failed to Pair

Hi All,

 

             Right the problem i am having is this our Reader was working fine and now will no longer pair with my samsung tablet. I have tried resetting the reader (holding the butting untill the red lights flash) i have uninstalled the square app and reinstalled it , I have checked bluetooth and wifi on the tablet and reset it to make sure but it will still not connect.

 

Whenever i try to connect the 2 i get the message;

Failed to pair

Square point of sale failed to pair with contactless + Chip and PIN (****).
Press and hold the power button untill the lights continuously flash red.

Welcome to the Community. 

 

It sounds like you've tried all of the troubleshooting steps I would normally suggest. Could you give me some more information on the reader you're using? 

How old is the reader? How long have you been having the connection issue?
