Cash payment option no longer available - disappeared

We have a Square "white" POS system with an iPad and when we check out there is no longer a "Cash" payment option. We litterally have to open the drawer with a key and we don't know how to record the transaction.

Sorry to hear about the trouble—that shouldn't be happening.🤔 Are you still having trouble completing cash payments? If so, these troubleshooting tips may help: Square Point of Sale App Troubleshooting. Otherwise, can you let me know if you're able to scroll up or down on your payment screen? The cash option should show up at the top.

This happened to me! I couldn’t find any help online. In the POS click on your settings then there will an option called “payment types” click on that and you’ll see your cash option has been turned off

This is happening to me currently in Square Restaurants app. Just started yesterday. Settings are Cash drawer - we are properly asked to open the cash drawer, but when it comes to accepting cash - there is not option - just swiping. There isn't a Settings or Payment types in the Restaurant app that I am aware of. I have three locations - this is happening only at one. Any help is appreciated!

Yes in a roundabout manner. Square for Restaurants does not have a payment types option in the App or the three bars that the other do (or at least I can't find it). So I needed to download Appointments App, go to the payment types there and reset the payment options. At some point we must have been presented with these when we started setting up Appointments, and since we don't need payment types in Appointments (just using as the workaround waitlist/reservation purposes and don't want payment options coming up to confuse people), they likely got disable not understanding it would affect Square for Restaurants app functionality at the POS.

Mine was the reversed, I am only able to take cash payments.

@krabkingz7 You checked Settings > Payment Types to make sure the other payment types are enabled, yes?
