Does anyone know how to add a tipping option to the prepaid service? I running take out service and upon checkout I can't figure out how to add a tip option online. I can add the tipping option on the app when customers pay in person but I can't figure out how to add it for a prepay option.

Hi @TCSKitchen2021 if you go to 'online' from the dashboard (not the app), then go to 'settings', then go to 'pickup and delivery' then go to 'advanced settings' on the top right there is a place to toggle on 'enable tipping at checkout'. I hope this helps!

This did not help. When I went to the website to purchase a service, it did not provide a place to tip.

I am a facial specialist, and I don't see 'pickup and delivery' which makes sense because I offer services. However, I was having trouble connecting the square. Therefore, I come home and enter the charge manually. Then I'm adding TIP as a line item because I don't see anywhere I can add it before CHARGE.

Hi @TinaNBS - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community👋😊
If the customer has already paid for their services or checked out, you could do a separate transaction for the amount of the tip.
You could enter a custom amount and add a note saying it's for a tip or you can even create an item titled "Tip" and leave the price field blank. This way, when the "Tip" item is added to checkout, it will stop and ask you to enter a price each time - as I'm sure this will vary with each customer/service.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let us know if you have any additional questions. Always happy to help! 😊

We have a winery that offers prepaid events like special dinners. We would like to add the gratuity to the prepaid ticket rather than need to remind people when they check out with additional purchases after the dinner that they had not paid a gratuity. It sounds like you are saying we could be able to create an item called "gratuity" and add it to purchase package of the dinner? So maybe there are two options: 1) Include the gratuity in the price of the package, or 2) add another item called "gratuity" that that they would pay at the time of purchase. We have taken reservations by having customers call and we send the link to purchase the email online. Is there a way to have a link to a two item package (dinner and gratuity)? It would be nice to track tips by an item with that name rather than calculating an amount based on the number of dinners sold.

It just occurred to me that if I include the tip in the single priced event (as opposed to a separate item that is automatically linked to the prepaid event, then there will be tax added to the tip as well. It seems like linking them would be a better option if that is available.

A bundled checkout link is currently a feature request at this time @Kentconn.
In this case, the suggestion would be to create Gratuity as a modifier and add costs to the modifiers to match the amount in gratuity. You could make this a required modifier so your customer select how much they would like to pay in gratuity.

Thanks JJ. I actually did work with a gentleman from support a couple of days ago and the option we came up with was to create the item as a physical item and then the tip option appears upon checkout. I will need to look at how it would work as a modifier. Interesting thought.
On a related note, I don't know if "bundled checkout link" is the same as "compound inventory" that I just heard this morning. A different issue I called about was to see if I could create an item that is really a bundle of other items. Eg, we are a winery and sell gift packages that include different wines and merchandise. It would be nice to click on "Package A" for example, and it automatically populates a particular bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses. This would help for inventory purposes. It was discussed I can put this on the seller community and see if others have a similar need. So, what can I do to get this out there to see if others desire this same feature?
