There seems to be a new setting on Invoices called "preferred payment method" and it wants me to pick credit card or gift card BEFORE sending to the customer. Some people pay me via cash or check. I now cannot send the invoice without choosing credit card or gift card and don't see away around this. This is new as of this week (9/1/2020). Help?

I liked your post and adding a reply to hopefully get the attention of Square. We are in the same boat accepting cash or checks as well as credit cards. Actually, most of the vendors pay by check after we invoice them.
We need this put back in!
Agreed- this is a problem! Although I've been with Square for several years, this is a deal-breaker for me. Will probably use another invoicing method from now on.
Tap, tap. Is anyone from Square listening? Many of my customers also pay by cash or check. They get confused or annoyed at seeing the credit card payment requested. The cash or check option needs to be put back in.
