Possible to change when customer chooses pickup or delivery date?

Using the online store, is it possible to change the order of customer checkout?  When a customer goes to my page, selects items and goes to checkout, it defaults to pickup date of today and its not until they have entered all their personal details before they can choose a future date & time for pickup or delivery.  It if very confusing to my customers and we get multiple calls or messages a day saying they can place an order for a future date.  I have added a banner announcement  to the top of my page but many dont read it.  Tried pop-ups as well but they dont seem to be working right now.  Be nice for customers to choose date and time for pickup on the very first screen.

@303bakes thanks for posting! I hear your frustration in this. I wouldn't want to receive multiple calls a day about this either, but unfortunately this is a feature request with the online store. Banners and pop-ups would have been my suggestion as well, but it seems you've already tackled that request. I will share this with our development team as I really understand how important it can be to have control over the checkout flow.
