Square's Magstripe Reader comes in two models - one has a headset jack and the other is a Lightning connector. Since you mentioned that your device does not have a headset jack - then is it a Lightning connector or a USB-C connector? (We don't know which model you have so we have to ask.) There is an adapter cable that may work - Square Reader for magstripe (with headset jack) to USB-C devices such as iPhone 15 & Android phones. Additionally, you can setup your device for Tap and Pay (no hardware required) - see this info. Another option is Square's Contactless and Chip Reader - it connects via Bluetooth (my personal favorite). Bottom line, you may want to consider using Magstripe as a last option as there's a Liability Shift - suggest reading this info as it's quite helpful.
