Discounting categories with minimum purchase

I am wanting to create a 10% discount on a case purchase of wine. The problem is that they get a case discount for a mixed case as well.  My category is bottled wine- I need them to purchase 12 items from that category to get the discount.  The way the discounting works if I want to auto discount is that is gives them 10% on every bottle in that category weither or not they bought 12.  Or I am stuck disocunting the whole purchase (food and all) 10%.  😞  Any thoughts on making this a smoothing disounting senario?

Have you tried creating an item called 12 bottle special and they have to pick the 12 flavors? This way just that one item the "12 bottle special" will be discounted
