Square for Antique Mall

Is anyone using Square to capture vendor sales in an Antique Mall type of business?

I currently use Square POS in my vintage store, but I will be opening a Vintage Vendor Mall next month and I can't seem to find any option within Square where I can create some sort of 'vendor profile' (associate with their booth #) so that when I sell something for that vendor I can enter in the item, and associate it with their profile in 1 easy step (like you can on Lightspeed).  The only option I've found for this so far would be to use 'categories' as 'vendors' but then the steps that follow are too lengthy to make sense.

If anyone else has any experience with this or tips they would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @LaineVintage!

You can get access to Vendor Management features with a Square for Retail Plus Subscription. These features allow you to create vendor profiles, assign them vendor codes, and associate vendors with items.

You'll also gain access to the Vendor Sales Report. This report lets you view items sold within a specific time frame, sorted by vendor. By selecting a date range and filtering by vendor, you'll get an accurate look at each vendor's performance and additional insights for each item sold.

The Square for Retail Plus Subscription comes with a 30-day free trial, so you can test it out to see if it meets your needs.

Feel free to check out the links above and let me know if you have any questions. 🙂

Hi Katie,

I've now been able to create vendors, but I can't seem to figure out how to begin a transaction, and enter in an item description, and then attached it to the vendor.   With the inventory I'm dealing with, I can create the items ahead of time because they are ever-changing.  I need to be able to record a sale and attach it to a vendor at checkout.   Do you know if this is possible?

Thanks again 🙂
