Barcodes, Stock Management, Product Codes and Ahhhhhhhhhhh

Hi Guys,

I've had a massive headache for the past couple of months trying to figure out how i can input CSV files to do the following. Let me give you an example of our business.

We're a greeting card shop, I've two locations, each shop carries over 1,000 different greeting cards (All with Product Codes for reordering and barcodes for scanning)

The issue i have is that the SKU is either (Unless I'm wrong), the product code OR Barcode meaning with barcode it can be scanned, with product code, it can't.

The issue is, i've 8 different suppliers that use product codes for each design, a card code for the price and different barcodes for each design.

How is it possible for me to run reports off to say the following

Card Sales - Jonny Javelin (Manufacturer) - TW026 (Product Code) - 5 sold, 1 remaining

instead of

Card Sales - Jonny Javelin (Manufacturuer) - 3[Redacted]484 (Bar Code) - 5 Sold, 1 Remaining????

Essentially, without going in circles, i need to know the product code that has sold, not the barcode yet i still need to use the barcode to scan items

Yes, I'm lost too but any help would be awsome

Darren

Hey @Weloveballoons, thanks for sharing this — that does seem like a headache. To help me investigate this further, can you confirm if the barcode you referred to is what is inputted in the GTIN field, and if the product code you referred to is the SKU?

From what I understand, you're looking to generate a report that would show sales based on what is in the SKU field and not what is in the GTIN field, is that correct? Or would it be the other way around?

If you have a screenshot of a sample product setup and how the report currently looks, that will definitely help. Thanks!
