Restaurants Tip Settling… bug?
Greetings,
Today I went to settle a few tips and clicked the Save button by mistake. But since it said “Save” I figured that when I went back into the list the tips I entered would be there for me to settle. Nope! See attached video.
I will say that I did notice that if I repeated that process THEN the tips seemed to be saved, which was weird.
Bug?

@JJ_ its not working on 6.38.1. I just noticed that 6.39.2 is available. I’ve closed for the day but I’ll download that and test it tomorrow when I have tips to settle. Stay tuned!

@RobynR @JJ_ I updated my Restaurants App on my iPad to 6.39.2. Ran a test transaction for $1. Then:
- I went to Transactions and clicked on the icon in the upper left corner to see a list of unsettled tips
- Keyed $1 tip for that test transaction, then pressed the Save button. It said it was saving, but when I went back to the screen it was not there.
- So, I re-keyed the $1 tip for that test transaction, then pressed the Save button again. This time it did NOT say that it was saving the tips, but when I went back again, the $1 I keyed the second time was there.
So, it is still not working in 6.39.2

Other than my test transaction today, I can’t possibly answer that. Mostly because it was a mistake when I first got the save button instead of the settle button. Here are screen shots of the test transaction I mentioned above.

Oh, that's interesting. I think we may have overlooked that, @TheRealChipA
Since the first report you have been able to use the "settle" button as intended, and have not attempted to use the "save" option?

You have all but one point.
The first time I use the save button it says it is saving but it doesn’t.
The second time I use it ie doesn’t say it is saving but it does!

@BernadetteA I have modified my procedures here slightly to get rid of paper. Customers are paying and tipping AFTER they have picked up their orders. So, maybe it’s still an issue and maybe it is not. But I have no way of knowing since we removed the need to settle tips manually in favor just having card customers pay/tip once their orders are completed to their satisfaction.
