Combo meal with inventory tracking

We run a concession stand and want to take an item (hot dog) and add option keep it a single item or to make it a combo with a drink and chips from each of these item in inventory. How can we link these items to make a combo for a discounted price?

Combos are currently in BETA, I don't see a release date as of yet. 

What about a discount like you suggested?

teps to Set Up:

1. Name Your Discount:
   Call it something simple like "Hot Dog Combo Discount."

2. Set Discount Type and Value:

   • Choose Amount ($) as the discount type.
   • Set the discount to $1 (this will apply to each eligible item separately).

3. Enable Automatic Discount:

   • Turn on Discount Rules so the system applies the discount automatically.
   • Create a rule: "When a customer purchases a Hot Dog and either Chips or a Drink."

4. Add Eligible Items:

   • Add the Hot Dog as one required item.
   • Create a second group with Chips and Drink combined. This allows the customer to purchase either one to qualify.

   Example Setup:

   • Group 1: Hot Dog (required).
   • Group 2: Chips or Drink (customer can choose either).

5. Apply the Discount Rule:

   • Set the system to apply $1 off per item (instead of the total combo). This means:
     • The Hot Dog gets $1 off.
     • The Chips or Drink also gets $1 off.
