Replace tips with donation on customer display?

My boss is under the impression that on the customer display for register, there is an option to choose whether to display percentage buttons for adding a donation, rather than for adding a tip. 

Is this true? If so, how do we set that up?

I *would* refer to the documentation, but it seems that it was all written before an update to layouts and design for the register interface, so nothing is where the documentation says it should be (such as the ability to turn on "Training Mode", which doesn't exist anywhere the documentation says it should).

Hello @rgreenstreet thanks for your post. There is no way to change the "TIP" screen to say "DONATION" or anything else. You would have to work around this and create an "item" of donations, and then manually add a donation amount to a customer's sale.

I would also like to be able to change "tips" to "donations". Do we know if this is something that will become customizable in the future?

Thank you for bringing this up. I share your interest in being able to change "tips" to "donations." At this time, I'm not aware of any plans to make this customizable. For now, I recommend using the HC_Charlie workaround. In the meantime, please consider posting this as a feature request on our Ideate Board. Your feedback and suggestions mean a lot to us.
