I am trying to do a test out on the report for our Square system. I am little confused with the close of day report.
Our fund transfer is set on 11pm each night. Saturday will transfer to our bank on Monday. When I ran the closed of day on Saturday, I noticed that the time period was from Friday to Saturday. Does it have to do with the close of day time being on weekend?
what exactly is the function purpose of close of day? Is the close of day suppose to match our sale report for that day?
Hi @LW-5. Close of day reports run from the beginning of the current day until the current time. For sales reports, you must specify the date range you want. I believe it defaults to the current day but don’t quote me on that.
I’m including a screen shot of your photo. Note the blue circled areas. These are the dates used to run each report. For the sales report from your POS you can change the date range to match that of the close of day report by icon in the blue circled area on the second screen shot below.
