I just going to start having garage sales and need it Square reader to get payments. Square think that I owe a big  business like Walmart and I don't even wanted to know if my business is registered with the IRS. Not my case.  Don't allow me to continue

Most of us are small business owners - not really like Walmart - but, Square is setup for businesses.  Having said that, it's quite possible to use Square for the personal reasons you have in mind.   For example when you are asked to select your business type, you can state that you’re using Square as an individual or you can select a specific business type to best reflect the goods or services you provide.  You're also required to provide either your SSN or EIN and you will also have to link a bank account.  Note, your SSN and personal bank account will work.  Keep in mind that anything you sell is considered income and is recorded as such and by law is reported to the IRS.  If you reach a certain thresh hold in total sales, Square will issue you a 1099.  Most people in your situation probably won't have to worry about that but, it can happen if you have more than $20,000 gross sales from goods or services and more than 200 transactions in the calendar year.  There's also transaction fees to be aware of, more info here.  It's also best to check with your State and Local regulations to for any requirements for licenses and permits.  Again, garage sales would probably fall under the radar but, it's something to look into for your benefit.  Square's POS App is FREE and you can get your first magstripe Reader for free too.  You can also setup your smart device to accept contactless payments (no extra hardware required) - Android details - iPhone details.   Last thought - if you get completely stumped with your Square Account setup, you may want to contact Customer Support for assistance - they can look at your details and offer advice.  The volunteers here cannot look at user accounts.   Accepting credit cards is the way to go these days however, it takes a little patience to get setup properly.  You can do this !!
