Adding an automated service fee to POS

We have decided to remove tipping for our business and add an admin fee to our total sales to level the playing field for our back of house and front of house salaries. However, the POS doesn’t allow for an automated admin fee add-on, but only for online sales. We desperately need this automated feature in the Point of Sale for walk-in customers but it is only letting us do it manually for every transaction. This becomes cumbersome - the counter staff will forget to charge customers and if you have 300-500 transactions per day- it would be impossible to capture and add this fee manually at every transaction.


There should be a section under Settings

> checkout > Admin Fee 


just like the sales tax feature under Settings - it becomes automated at every transaction.

 

please help!

if this doesn’t become a feature soon, we will be forced to move to another POS system like TOAST which has this feature.

Hi there - Similarly we are attempting to use the "Service Charge" functionality to collect a Service Fee, which is distinctly different in our state from an Automatic Gratuity and carries different legal requirements for both wages and taxes. We collect the Service Fee on all checks but currently don't have the ability to automatically apply it to every transaction. Instead, we have to do this manually for every check, which is extremely tedious.

We also would like to have the automated feature for our service charge to make sure our team is being fairly compensated.

We would also like to have an automatic service charge be able to be added - best scenario would be to have it as part of a Locations settings that can be turned on (and off) based on location. We do 'on location' sales and would like to be able to charge an 'on location' service charge, but not have it charged when a sale is made at our store location.
