incorrect sales tax online

I am building my online store, and I'm now testing sales tax.

I have online sales tax set to automatically calculate tax.

My state (Oklahoma) has a combined sales tax rate of 10% (including city, county, and state). On a $20 order, tax should be $2.00

Tax on in-person sales (in my physical store) is always calculated correctly.

But, as you can see in this screenshot, Square is only calculating $1.20 for an online sale.

This seems to be the combined state and county rates without the city rate.

This is also happening when I do a test order for in-person pickup.

These tax rates for online sales are wrong.

If I change my settings to use in-person rates, I can get delivery and pickup rates to show correctly, but this doesn't correct the shipping rates.

The only options I see for shipping rates are either "apply automatically generated tax rates" or "do not collect taxes"

Someone please help.

Hi @mikesclub,

Thanks for the screenshot, and detail around the trouble you’re having.

Without access to your Dashboard and account, it would be difficult to say for certain what’s not being accounted for here.

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend that you take a look at this guide

If you’re still having issues after that, could you please share a link to your site so that I can take a closer look?

Can I please get help with this problem?

When I make a sale, I have to remit the sales tax to my state. If the tax collected is wrong, I have to make up the difference. That comes out of my pocket!

My in-store sales tax is exactly right. Why is Square collecting something different for online sales?

I can't even open my online store until this is fixed. Please help!
