I have been working to create a subscription program for a client on their Square online site. Upon setting up the plans and testing our first subscription, I was shocked that it removes the option for fulfillment by 'delivery' or 'pickup' and only 'shipment' is a pick-list option. When on the same page if you choose 'one time purchase' you can choose any of the 3 fulfillment options. I have found multiple articles in the help community that talk about this in somewhere and it has been said for over 3 years that this would be coming, is there any ETA?

Hello @BradyMyers !
You're right that subscriptions are only available for shipping only at the moment. I’m honestly not sure why there is a delay in adding pickup or delivery. It doesn’t seem like it would be too difficult to add the code for those fulfillments, but I don’t know the logic needed to make it happen.
I made a workaround for the limitation, it may work for you. Since I use a flat rate for shipping costs, I was able to have two different variations on my subscription items: Home Delivery and Shipped. For home delivery, I lowered the price of the sub by the flat rate shipping price. That way, when a customer chooses home delivery, the final price including the “shipping” is the actual amount of the subscription. I have it clearly explained on my subscriptions page and in the descriptions of my subscription items. So far there has been no confusion. Yes, it takes some numerical fudging when we enter sales data into Quickbooks, but it’s the best option I have found.
I would also recommend heading over to the Ideate section of this website and submitting the request again. The dev team looks at this section frequently, and if enough people request the same feature enough, it may get enough attention that the developers work on it.
Hopefully this workaround will help you!
