Integrating Whatsapp with Square is the need of the time. More than 80% of our customers don't bother to check emails. They need instant communication. Sending receipts and promotions to customers instantly through Whatsapp is the most convenient way of communication.

Currently we are using a workaround. We added a new text field in customers directory and updated it with Whatsapp chat link. We then edit information and select all Whatsapp link text, it gives an option to brows link and opens up Whatsapp chat.

However, we are facing an issue while updating info through Square Mobile app on android phone. As soon as we start typing in any custom added field (text type) in customers directory, keyboard hangs and don't work for a minute. We tried Gboard and Swift Keyboard apps, both hang. So we update such info from web. Hope this workaround will work for you too. Thanks

Suggestion: There should be a clickable URL field type while creating custom fields. This will help us to open Whatsapp instantly without editing information. The URL field should work like Phone or Address fields work.
