Square Shopping Cart...?

Can I create a shopping cart for my items I sell on my site (I write my own web code, don't use CMS) and, if so, can you point me to the link describing how to do this?

The reason I ask: on my old site I used PayPal for product purchases. When someone clicked the link they were given the option to choose "add item to cart." This allows folks to purchase multiple things at once, obviously.

I'm now building a whole new site which is launching August 15, 2024 and am wondering if this same option is available with Square?

Thanks very much.

Square is a bit different - Square's focus is to get you up and selling online quickly with a shopping cart or individual purchase links (Buy Now) or creating invoices without any knowledge of HTML or scripting.  Most Square users are small business owners who want to spend their time running their business, not coding.  Having said that, Square has a built in Web Editor that generates all the necessary code for your online site.  You pick the design, enter your item info and upload photos, complete your tax and shipping profiles, preview your new site and publish.  You also have the option of your own domain name or can transfer an existing one or just go with Square's subdomain that assigned.   If you already have a site - you can create your Square site and simply link the two together.  Many people do that.  From your customer's point of view, it's basically seamless - all you do is add another URL to your existing Site menu like (Shop), they click the link and go directly to your Square Site where they can select your items, add to cart and check out.

I love actually creating sites from scratch and have been doing it for a number of years. As I said, the site (which I'm incredibly proud of) is in the final stages of design and launches August 15th. As to combining two sites, that's not at all practical at this point - nor do I think it would give me the seamless, professional look my site now has. My landing pages, product pages and feature articles are already created - I just need a shopping cart. Once again, it looks like I'll have to resort to PayPal, although I have found Square to be okay as a cell phone POS system. Thanks for your response.
