Show saved product items as a gallery with descriptions without option to buy.

Hello,

Is there a way to remove the price and add to cart button, even on individual product pages? I would like to simply use the website as a showcase, focussing on the item photo and its description, with no option to buy online, as I only sell in person.

Thanks,

Ty

Hi @Ty7 👋 thanks for your post.

Square Online is primarily designed for eCommerce, so its features are focused on selling products online. However, you can still use some features like Stories for blog-style content and Galleries for photo slideshows.

While you can't remove the price and “Add to Cart” button directly on product pages, you can work around this by using a Gallery to display your products with descriptions. This way, you can highlight the item photos and details without including purchase options.

Probably the only option is to disable ordering.  You can toggle online ordering on or off.  When off, items will still be on your sites but not available for purchase.   When you have an item listed online, I believe it has to have a price (sorry, no work arounds).   Thinking outside the box, you could simply use Pinterest and/or Flickr to display your items and only use Square for selling in person.  This is assuming you're only using the free Square subdomain.  If you do have your own Domain, we do, we use a third party hosting service for all of our information and link that to our free Square subdomain for shopping.

Thanks for your reply. Im using square premium. The items need to be on my website, and Pinterest or Flickr isn’t professional enough for my needs.

what web hosting are you using that coordinates with square?

thanks,

Ty

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I saw those as options. But, I would have to enter item descriptions and photos for my items in square invoices (because I need that info on my invoices), and then do it again for the gallery, making me do the same work twice, right? Considering I have over 50 items that completely change every month, that’s the work I was trying to avoid.  In that case, square online isn’t any more helpful than any other web host.
