Online Order Fulfilment

I noticed this week that there was an update which relates to the order fulfilment for online orders. May just be a UK update??

We noticed that function to print an invoice (normally takes you to Square Online but no longer, not a problem as it makes sense to bring the systems together), but the new print button (perfect location) prints something like an invoice, but the format is awful, a bit long and extended (like my ramblings here lol), something that rolls on to two pages if you have more than three items. Could the old invoice format or at least something similar be brought back? I just need to press the print button and get a nicely formatted invoice I can print (it looks ugly and too spaced out).

Also the fulfilment process has become somewhat cumbersome, especially if you manually populate the delivery data into a courier system/platform.

We have to print invoices from the orders page and not packing slips as the packing slips do not show the shipping method ie express or standard delivery which the packers need to see. Also we can not populate the shipping data in the courier portal from the shipments page as the information here does not have the mobile and email address required by the courier for tracking notifications. Also as a side point, in shipments its not possible to drag and drop the delivery details from the shipments page to the courier platform, the  underlined link address which opens up to the delivery address edit page and may be subject to error when dragging and dropping, plus its another window opening stage.

Trust me when I say its a little frustrating to fulfil orders, and in particular if you have a reasonable volume of orders. It doesn't seem much but every little twist and turn, additional page that needs opening, link that needs pressing to enable the delivery data to transfer to the courier platform, switching of pages to print invoices, invoices that print unnecessarily large and need size reducing just make the fulfilment for online website order too time consuming. I'm sure this has been thoroughly tested but I would say give it a test run fulfil an order using a none integrated courier, you'll see what I mean.

Happy to share experiences in more detail with Square to improve the workflow if it helps, perhaps a video or zoom where you can see the processes we go through to fulfil an order. As it stands I wouldn't go as far as saying its not fit for purpose as the system does work, but I would say there is definitely room for significant improvements here.
