Many of my items show a 404 error when clicked

I have added several items to my store, and for a few months everything seemed to be working as expected. Recently, several of my items now go to a 404 page when clicked on. I can't remember actually making any changes in the platform. Can anyone help me fix?

I reached out to the Square Online Support Team so they could take a look into this. They let me know that this is happening because you're using Advanced categories and on the Square dashboard under Items >>> Categories, you have all your categories marked "Hidden from all site". You would just need to go in and choose which categories that you want to be visible and turn them on to get the 404 error to stop.

I am currently having this problem too and was able to adjust for one of my categories but when I tried to fix my merchandise category I get a red error message saying the action can't be completed, try again (it does not work when I try again)

The exact same thing started happening to me today. No clue what I did or why this started store has been up for weeks with no problem.

I love how these changes take effect and we have no clue and suddenly everything just stops working. I'm sure some sort of notice went out to people signed up for newsletters or marketing materials but many people don't need that garbage in their inboxes so they unsubscribe. Or we have them but never read it because it's just marking new stuff we don't need.
