Feature Request: BOGO (Buy one, get one) and other automatic discounts via my Square Online website

The title of this post has been edited from the original:  Can automatic discounts be used on the online store?

When I create automatic discounts, such as quantity or amount discounts, they work perfectly well on my point of sale but do not work on my online store.

Can anyone help me?

Hello there!

I appreciate all your patience while we work to get this feature implemented. The beta testing for this feature has currently been delayed. Our team is working very hard on the backend to resolve some roadblocks that have prevented this from going. If you would still like to join the Beta for this request you can certainly still do so. Hi! We'll be launching a beta test for Automatic Discounts on Square Online in the next couple of weeks. Head over to Automatic Discounts for Square Online to join the Beta Community and request access to this beta test.

Currently, the Online Store doesn't support Buy-one-get-one coupons. However, you can assign standard discounts to certain categories. From the site editor,  visit Items > Coupons > Add Coupon. You'll find an option to choose eligible categories under Discount Details at the bottom of the page.

Automatic discounts - like BOGOs and quantity-based discounts as you've described in your post - are not currently available via your Square Online website. This is currently considered a feature request which we are tracking on this page.

Hello, I was wondering if Square Online would include the "discounts" tab from Square Register to our Online website apart from Coupons.

I was trying to include a BOGO50 discount to automatically add at checkout for a customer who adds 2 items or 4 items, etc. instead of the customer having to add the coupon.

It would be great for clients and easier at checkout! 🙂

I also want to add my voice to those clamoring for automatic online discounts. You've been adding features to the online store and this is my one really big remaining item that I want to get working before our big buying season begins in the fall.

Need BOGO with Square ONLINE.  Looks like this thread has been going on for over a year.  It's an every day discount.  Why is this so difficult?

This would be great for restaurants, because we could flag items as entrees, sides, drinks (categories or hidden item flags) and set up a rule that says when customer adds item A to cart along with Item B and Item C give xx% discount or xx$ amount off.  This would make it easy.  For bogo it would look like, if customer adds item A to cart with quantity >1 apply 100% discount to 1 items, quantity > 2 <4 would still be 100% discount to 1 item or it could be capped at only 1 item discounted etc.

Please add in the feature to provide BOGO offers online!! can this feature be escalated especially prior to all the holidays coming up.  If you could mirror the Square Discounts in Square Online that would HELP tremendously!!

Add me to the list of people dumbfounded that this isn’t an option yet. Especially after 16 months of people trying to take their businesses online. 

From the Square Register I can discount a 4th item to make a 4-pack discounted from individual bottles. And I cannot do it online. Not to mention this is a workaround not being able to have a single source of inventory that single bottles and 4-packs are drawn from. 

I have been a big proponent of Square but it is tough when I see basic discrepancies between platforms drag on for years.
