Allowing customers to add name of person to have book autographed to

I use Square Online to sell my books and autograph each book sold. Some of my customers purchase multiple books as gifts for a friend or family member. Is there a place on the transaction where the customer can list the names of people for me to sign the book to?

Hi @paulakparker !

I believe I answered this over in the FB group, but I'll do it here too just for visibility. 🙂

You can create a text modifier that's available on the online environment.

Dashboard -> Items -> Modifiers -> Create New.

Make it a text box modifier and fill in everything else as you see fit.

Problem with this is that if a customer adds multiple books to their order they will only see the text box modifier once.

Alternatively, you can enable the Notes to Seller input box on the checkout screen. Update your book item description to ask for names in that notes section.

Dashboard -> Online -> Settings (or Shared Settings) -> Checkout.

Look for the Customer Inputs section.

Hope this helps!
