Royal Mail supports integration with various online stores and marketplaces
Integration with Square would be great so that shipping labels could be automatically created, and postage paid

Hello everyone, this is Alex from the Square Online product team. We know how frustrating it is to have been told that a Royal Mail Click & Drop integration is on the roadmap for two years, and we're sorry that we haven't yet been able to launch this for you. Behind the scenes, we're in the process of making some fundamental changes to our shipping product, so we decided to build all shipping carrier integrations (not just Royal Mail) in a way that aligns with our long term strategy. This will take us time to fully execute. We also understand that you have to make decisions about how to operate your business, and that an expectation of a Royal Mail integration has been a key factor in choosing to continue using Square. Unfortunately, we don't have a concrete update that we can share with you on our plans or timeline for this today, but we'll be sure to post in this thread when our beta is ready for you.
Hi Tra,
Do you have an update on this which you can share with the community? I'm concerned that we will be in August next week and we will be starting our Christmas 2021 season production and we still do not have an integration solution in place for this. There seems to be many members on the forum and I suspect beyond who feel they would benefit from this integration, so there seems to be momentum our side for this but not on the side of Square. We work with a number of other platforms who integrate with the Royal Mail Click and collect, and managed to speak with the tech guys on one platform who did and the integration, they said it was a really easy thing to implement as RM has pretty much everything in place from previous integrations they have done with Spotify etc.
Hope this insight helps and if you could provide some kind of timeline that would be great or even a yes or no for the integration by Square so we can make informed decisions for our businesses.

So we have now gone from its iminent, to its a 3rd party integration at a significant cost to NO timescale!
We are going backwards and as many have highlighted they are heading for the busy Christmas period.
What is going on?

Completely farcical. I don't know what else to say at this point. We were finally getting somewhere and now it's back to square one? It was literally "any day now" months back.
It really is a shame that the UK market isn't more important to your company. Definitely time for me personally to jump ship while I still have time before Christmas.

If Easyship turns out to be the chosen solution, I really don’t understand how Square could have got this so wrong. Has anyone ever asked for a solution that uses multiple couriers. And even one that doesn’t include the one courier that everyone is asking for. This is not America

Agree completely, and many of us specifically pointed out that this kind of thing ISN'T what we need before they even did it 😬
Tra, I can appreciate if this is something for now while you work on Click & Drop, but C&D is what we've been promised 'any day now' for months. This isn't it.

Might be worth trying to get somebody at Royal Mail to look at the integration. There is a suggestion section and somebody has tried to get this moving with RM, who I think are more open to working with their customers, although I think they integrated Square Space and have got confused with the fact that Square/Weebly are not the same. Pop over and see if we can get them moving on this. Time has just about run out for us I'm afraid if we are to get this sorted for Christmas 2021 and beyond (it was hellish trying to fulfil on Square last year)... this is the last thing I can think of trying folks!

I doubt it is Royal Mail that is holding this integration up. As you say, the Christmas period is approaching and we keep getting messages from Square saying it is imminent - but then nothing more.

Is there any update on integration with Royal Mail? It would be so much easier if the customer order details could be integrated with Click & Drop!! At the moment I would have to:
Accept a customer order in the Square store
Print the order details off
Login to Royal Mail and manually create all the labels
Print off labels from the RM site
Email customers the tracking number
Would be so good if the order details just got passed through so I could print off all the details and have customers automatically emailed the shipping confirmation and tracking numbers etc.

Just went and responded. Although if this isn't implemented in the next few months, I'll probably just go with another platform like Shopify.

I feel your pain, we thought about moving but have delayed any action until after December now (too close to Christmas now), so it looks like another Christmas season of pain to try an fulfil through Square Online. Looks like their resource has been directed at other more strategic projects, restaurants, financial services etc and the Online is no longer strategic or of importance to their core business I guess. We have friends in other businesses who use Shopify and it works equally as well and they do have a Royal Mail integration set up and running so could be an option to consider...good luck and thanks for the support on the RM forum!

@alexws Is there any further update since the Q&A on when this will be available and when it’s like to beta! Lots of people on here I’m sure are ready and waiting to test it out!
