Square invoices freezing after pressing the Tab key

problem just began today. Trying to make an invoice, every time I press the Tab key Square freezes up. Unable to enter any other info. This occurs in the New Customer area when I am trying to enter a new customer's info such as name, email, address, normally I would use Tab key to go from box to box. But it also happens in the Line-Item area where I am trying to enter charges and descriptions. Normally I would enter a price then use the Tab key to enter details. Once I press the Tab key everything freezes, unable to enter any other info. At that point all I can do is "save as draft" then I have to exit out, close the browser, re-start the browser, and reopen the invoice and edit it. As long as I don't press the Tab key it works fine.

I also have a Chromebook and I tried it on the Chromebook all the same issues happened, so this is not specific to my personal computer or my chromebook, this is on Square.

so what I found is that if I grab and stay within the larger box I'm fine.  But if I move the mouse outside of the box then the box minimizes again and all info typed inside is erased.  I think I can live with this as long as I make sure to be careful.  expanding the description box.jpg

Hi @Marcohere.  It’s not just invoices.  It seems to be happening in a lot of screens after the tab key is pressed.  I’m going to add my notes here.  I have had the same exact thing happen when going into edit a modifier set.  I type in information, hit tab, and the cursor disappears.  I can’t enter data in ANY field after I press the tab key — Safari, Chrome and Firefox.  This looks like a bug so I’m going to tag a few moderators who can hopefully help.   @_Violet @JJ_ @MayaP I’m not sure I’d say that the web page is freezing up as much as it is acting up.  The tab key seems to confuse something and the cursor can’t be placed anywhere else to type.  I’m attaching a video of what I am seeing (it has audio, too).

thank you for helping.  One more thing- the description box under the price (in invoices) it has a drag-to-enlarge thing, if I grab it to enlarge the box it does enlarge the box as expected but if I move my cursor outside the right line everything disappears- I lose everything I had been typing.  Sometimes that's very inconvenient, especially with some of the larger descriptions I write for large plumbing jobs.  Wish that you guys could fix that.  It's been happening for about a year now.  I just never bothered to mention it.

well apparently the issue is resolved now.  I just made an invoice and didn't see any issues with the Tab key.
