Is it possible to add a custom date field to an inventory item?

Hello all,

I'm a noob coming in from PayPoop.  I don't sell merchandise, just services.  On my previous platform it was easy to create different services as items (In-house, Onsite, Overtime, etc).  Each line item allowed me to enter the date the service was performed so I could keep a running tab on each job I did for customers.

On Square invoices, it has the service date for the entire invoice but I need to track multiple jobs during the month for some clients and just give them one invoice for multiple jobs done on different days.  Is there a way to add a custom date field to inventory items to accomplish this or have I missed an easier way of doing this?  Thanks!

At this time Square Invoices Plus offers the ability to add Milestones to your Invoices where you can add dates payments would or would've been due. The ability to add Dates to line items is considered a Feature Request. I recommend you submit a Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request. 

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).

Well, that's unfortunate.  I think many gig workers (especially in service industries) would need this.  Thanks for the info, I'll submit a request.
